I’ve been poking around in the DBpedia, and I’m amazed at the progress. It is definitely one of the coolest (launched) example of the Semantic Web I’ve seen. I already knew the W3C LinkingOpenData community but I didn’t know they have built such a big RDF database. I should check out the API. It seams that a lot of Wikipedia resources are now RDF formated. This service is still limited but promising, indeed a lot of niche ontologies are missing.
