Pentagon Now Considering "Rapid Climate Change" as National Security Threat

The Pentagon is now considering the possibility of “rapid climate change” as soon as even two decades in the future as a potential new “national security threat.” Research has shown that previous ice-ages were not gradual — rather they were sudden catastrophes — possibly triggered when the global environment reached a certain critical state. Our present climate may be on the verge of going “critical” — according to some researchers, even if we started now by dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions it would still be “too late” — even if we stopped now, it could take as long as 20 or 30 years before the effects of past environmental damage are dissipated. Is it possible that we might witness the start of a global ice-age in our own lifetimes?
