Laura, where to begin — every meal was so great!
My favorite however was at an incredible Piemontese restaurant — was probably the most interesting Italian meal I ever had — a fusion of Swiss, French and Italian cooking. Strange and delicious things like tiny handmade ravioles with veal inside, drenched in pecorino fondu – and amazingly velvety Italian foi gras pate, and hazelnut and dark chocolate profiteroles, and aquavit so strong it curles your eyelashes when you drink it…
pecorino fondue, how unique. I’d settle for cavalluci and chianti.
